I call this one the shadow man. It’s a bit creepy but it’s not the strangest one. I am going to include some links incase you are interested in digging deeper with me.
The most ancient petroglyphs date back about 8 thousand years, and the tribe that created them does not even have a personal name in history, they are simply called archaic Indians. Apparently, not all of them lived in what is now Texas. Sego Canyon is located near Moab Utah, USA
This one has shadow man and a two horned friend. Also a single horn something or other. If you are thinking people must have their theories, you would be right. It is believed they spoke the Sumerian language. File that point away, I will bring it up later because I do think it just might be significant. One difficulty I have uncovered is the language they spoke dates back to about 3500 BC and is one of the very oldest known languages. If that is the language they spoke (and I think it was) and it’s 5500 or perhaps 6000 years old, how can we be so sure the most ancient petroglyphs are 8000 years old? Something doesn’t add up, so for that reason mystery does exist.
I have little doubt their religion has a lot more to do with their petroglyphs than so-called “aliens”. Although I can’t deny some people see aliens as the reason behind everything we don’t fully understand. I am not in that group. There are supernatural beings in the realm of the unseen, true enough. But the weird looking creatures from other planets are highly unlikely IMHO. I guess it depends on how you define “alien”. I think the term is thrown around loosely to create confusion. It hinders some of us from making a connection to the spiritual war that is underway right now.
Yes, there are weird looking creatures in this petroglyph. There are also what appears to be serpents. Why does that ring a bell? The one weird guy with the big eye holes appear to be holding up a serpent on a pole. That reminded me of Numbers 21: 8,9
So let’s take a closer look at the archaic people. The is no agreement as to the meanning of the word archaic. However, some is known about these people. We do know their launguage and religion. Let’s take their launguage first. Sumerian, and we have a very nice clue about these people from that. It’s orgin is mesopotamia, the land between the rivers. Later the Babylonian empire rose from that very area. Aside from Israel, Babylon is the most frequently mentioned nation in the Bible. It is always adversarial to the God of Israel, his nation and according to Revelation, his son Jesus.
So, what about their religion? Glad you asked. It was Shaman. The etymology of the word means “to know” or “the one who knows”. I would like to remind you that the serpent tempted Eve in the garden with knowledge. The rituals preformed by the Shamans is (not was) very disturbing. The “new age” movement and many others still do them. You can look into it yourself if you wish.
The short story is, their rituals involve entering into a altered state of consciousness and then using divination to interact with the spirtit world. If it sounds a lot like witchcraft, there is good reason for that. If the divination was to request a healing, the priest preforming the ritual was called a witch doctor.
That’s all for now. This subject will require future segments so please stay tuned.
Thanks,
Pat
